Cited as being the “3rd Safest City in Illinois”, Godfrey is one of Illinois’ newest municipalities. Located 35 miles north of St. Louis, the Village of Godfrey was developed as primarily a residential community. Much of the Village remains dedicated to agricultural uses, so residents enjoy being surrounded by the natural beauty that is Godfrey. This growing community also expects commercial development in the near future due to the completion of Illinois Route 255.
